All clients must submit a Project Assessment to have their project considered. The assessment helps to determine project scope and whether the project is a fit for our capabilities/schedule. We reserve the right to refuse any project, for any reason.
Payment & Refunds
A down payment of 50% is required for any project. PayPal (direct payment or credit card payment) or payment by mail (check, cashier’s check, or money order) are accepted. (You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to pay by credit card.) Your project will be scheduled after the down payment has cleared. The down payment is non-refundable unless the project is cancelled by Maroon Technology Ltd.
Once the final design has been approved, you will receive an invoice for the balance. After the balance has been paid in full, the files will be delivered in the agreed-upon format(s).
Due to the custom nature of our work, Maroon Technology Ltd. does not issue refunds for any reason.
Projects are accepted first in, first out. Any deadlines should be clearly outlined in the Project Assessment. Our goal is to make this easy and to exceed your expectations. We can work only within boundaries we are aware of. Sometimes situations change while a project is waiting to start or has started. Make us aware of any deadlines or situation changes to confirm that we can meet your needs and expectations. If you have a rushed project deadline, contact us to see if we can accommodate your needs. Rush projects incur a rush fee.
Once the project is accepted, and payment cleared, the project will be scheduled. As your project start date nears, we will contact you to coordinate project start-up.
Typical projects are completed within 20-30 work days depending on the size of the project, timely feedback and number of revisions. It is the client’s responsibility to share any specific or firm project deadlines before the project is scheduled. Because there are a number of factors outside of our control during the project, we can make you aware of the impact delays will have on the project and will do our best to meet schedules we are aware of; but will not contractually obligate Maroon Technology Ltd to a specific delivery date. We do not guarantee a specific project completion date.
Each project will be quoted via email. Each quote will include the project scope, cost, deliverables, projected start and estimated duration. The client will sign and return the Project Acceptance Form along with 50% deposit to Maroon Technology Ltd. Once the deposit has cleared, the project will be scheduled. Any work requested outside of the terms of the quote will be billed at an hourly rate as specified in the quote. Changes to scope may incur additional rush rates.
Design Revision Process
Each content/design project includes up to three revisions. After reviewing the first revision, the client will submit specific, documented feedback; including every change that should be made. If the revision is not acceptable at all, a second revision will created based on feedback from the first. The same would process occurs if a third revision is necessary. The client is expected to communicate feedback in written form, using concise language and/or examples. In the event that three revisions do not produce an acceptable design, additional designs may be generated at an hourly rate agreed to in the project quotation or the project will be stopped and deposit forfeited. Additional changes to the design after final approval will incur further charges.
Communication is key to the successful completion of any project. We will be communicating with you often during the design process. We need specific feedback and your approval to continue. Communication will happen via Skype (text chat only) &/or email. Clients are asked to respond in a timely manner to emails and chats, realizing that extensive delays in responding will cause delays in the completion of your project and possibly interfere with other scheduled projects.
The client is responsible for providing the usernames and passwords for FTP access, WordPress access, and domain name registration access as needed. All usernames and passwords are kept in the strictest confidentiality. Clients are encouraged to change all passwords after the completion of the project.
Copyright & Credit
The copyright for each site is transferred to the client upon delivery. The site design must be kept intact and not altered after installation. If you want to make changes to your design after installation, contact us. Another designer may not make changes to the custom theme/template design without express permission from Maroon Technology Ltd. If you choose to remove any portion of the design, you must remove the complete design and use a new design/theme/template. You may not continue to use a premium theme provided as part of our design.
The client may provide his own photos or stock images for use in the design. If stock images are chosen, the client is responsible for compliance with license/photography copyrights. Maroon Technology Ltd. is not liable for photos or design elements provided by the client.
The Maroon Technology Ltd. credit must be kept in the footer as long as the design is used.
Custom theme designs are designed to be compatible with the most recent two versions of IE, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. In specific cases, clients have requirements for compatibility with older browser versions. That will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Upon project completion, delivery and final payment, the client will be provided with the final deliverable files in a format agreed upon and specified in the quote.
Your blog/web design and/or graphics may be used in our online portfolio.
